What is a Notary Public?

A Notary Public is a person of proven integrity appointed by the government to serve the public as an impartial witness in taking acknowledgements, administering oaths and affirmations and performing other acts authorized by law.  A Notary's main functions are to detect and deter fraud, and to facilitate the workings of commerce and law by lending credibility to sensitive signed documents.​


Where will the Notary Public meet me? 
You decide where the meeting will take place. We will meet you at almost any location in our service area. It can be your business, home, school, church, a restaurant, hospital, or doctor's office. 

What will it cost me to have Keystone Mobile Notary Services,LLC come to my location? 
Pennsylvania has a standardized fee schedule for notarial services. Other than these set fees, we charge for mileage, printing, and time. Signing Agent fees vary depending on the type of document package. Fees are identified on our 'SERVICES' page and are negotiable.  Request a quote via telephone or e-mail so that you can make an informed decision. 

Should I sign my document(s) before the Notary Public arrives - to save us both time? 
No. It is important that you wait until we arrive and have reviewed the document and verified your identification BEFORE you sign the form(s). 

Do I need to provide I.D.? 
Yes, you need at least one form of government-issued identification with a photograph. For example: State-issued ID Card; State-issued Driver’s License; Government-issued Passport. Additional forms of identification may be acceptable.

​​What if I don’t have my own I.D.? 
Keystone Mobile Notary Services,LLC must be able to properly identify the person signing the forms. If the person does not have satisfactory identification, then the document cannot be notarized. 

How does Keystone Mobile Notary Services,LLC differ from a regular Notary Public at my bank? 
The Notary Public at your bank is usually available only when your local branch is open. That normally doesn’t include weekends, early mornings, evenings or holidays. You are required to travel to your bank to get your document notarized. Finally, you may need to be an account holder before the bank will notarize your form. 

Keystone Mobile Notary Services,LLC is available every day of the week including weekends and holidays. We drive to your location. You do not have to take time off from work or leave your home. 

What if I need a copy of the form being notarized? 
Keystone Mobile Notary Services,LLC can make photocopies for an additional printing fee. 

How do I obtain the document I need to get notarized? 
YOU are responsible for obtaining your documents. If you are unsure of the correct legal document to use, you should contact an attorney for advice.  Keystone Mobile Notary Services,LLC is NOT responsible for determining the correct form or forms needed for your specific situation. 

What are the forms that you do NOT notarize? 
We can NOT notarize Birth Certificates, Death Certificates, Marriage Certificates or Wills. We reserve the right NOT to notarize other forms as well. Please ask for more information.
